Orai is a small village in the Amarpur block of Banka district in Bihar. We call our village as Orai Jankipur. Orai and Jankipur are twin village. The village was founded by our ancestor Janki Ram Ghosh in early seventeenth century. The name of village is given after Janki Ram Ghosh.

It covers about 100 hectares and has a population of 2000 people living in 300 households. The literacy rate there is moderate with a significant achievement in various fields.
